Property investing has always been a great way to get a return on your investment – purchasing a property, sprucing it up and renting it out.
Over the past decade or so the “craze” of property investments has become increasingly widespread. We’ve seen “how to” guides, investment “gurus” and dozens of “reality” TV shows centered around buying, flipping and investing.
These shows depict the renovation and investment process to be one that only entails choosing your granite, paint colors and accent items.
Additionally, flocked with teams of contractors they turn around the renovations in 48-72 hours when the reality is more like 6-8 weeks and even longer for major renovations.
“As seen on TV” does not usually equate to what actually happens in real life. The cameras are able to capture the positive parts of investing in a property while conveniently leaving out the challenges that plague real investors – troubling tenants, financing struggles, renovation roadblocks.
But, before we scare you away, as we mentioned before, investing in income property is STILL a great idea! It’s just not all sunshine and rainbows as you may have guessed thanks to a few recent reality series.
Seasoned investors know very well that even when things go smoothly, as they often do with the help of a valued partner, it can be a time consuming and stressful process. It’s very important to find the right partner to help you in this journey.
Rather than trying to book yourself on one of the reality shows, contact us at your earliest convenience! We can provide you with the guidance, resources and experience as well as the security of knowing that you’ve got a partner in your investment journey.
